Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the EU’s lifelong learning program that brings together all European cooperation initiatives in the fields of education, training, youth, and sports. For university students, the program offers various activities lasting typically between three and twelve months, supported by scholarships designed to partially cover the costs of student mobility.

Students can benefit from these mobility grants multiple times, both for study and traineeships, as long as the total period spent abroad does not exceed 12 months per study cycle.

Activities

Erasmus+ Study: allows students to complete part of their studies at another European university, with full recognition of exams and other academic activities by their home university. Students can attend courses and take exams at foreign universities that have signed agreements, following a pre-approved study plan that ensures the correspondence between courses taken abroad and those included in the Italian study program. It is also possible to carry out activities related to internships or thesis research.

Erasmus+ Traineeship: enables students to undertake an internship abroad, even after graduation. Internships can take place at companies, training and research centers, public and private institutions, third-sector organizations, universities, higher education institutions (such as laboratories, libraries, and international relations offices), non-profit organizations, and national or international organizations (such as the UN, UNESCO, and other specialized UN agencies).

The internship can be carried out in 27 EU countries, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Turkey. Students are responsible for finding a host company, either independently or through the channels provided by the International Mobility Office. Once the host company or institution is identified, the candidate must request an acceptance letter.
